| Beer Braised Beef Fillets |
Lately I've been cooking.....baking....sharing more recipes on the SWEET side....so it's time to throw little bit meat into the ring.....
.....little bit of red meat to be exact.....tasty BEER BRAISED BEEF FILLETS that melt in your mouth....and then there is the beer part....
Perfect dish for meat loving man in your life.....
This is very easy to make braised beef roast with tons of flavor and the best leftovers ever if you're lucky enough to have some.

| Beer Braised Beef Fillets with Rice & Cucumber Salad |
PRINTABLE VERSION:
Ingredients:
- 2lbs Beef Roast
- Dijon or German Mustard
- Flour
- 2 Onions (sliced)
- Salt
- Pepper
- 2-3 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 can Beer
STEP 2: Cut beef roast into 1/2" fillets. Salt and pepper on both sides. Spread teaspoon of mustard on top of each fillets.Cover both sides in flour.
STEP 3: In a large skillet heat olive oil. Put the beef fillets into the hot oil and brown quickly on both side. Remove the fillets from the oil and put them on the side.
STEP 4: De-glaze the skillet with half of the beer and put in the onions.Braise the onions for few minutes till the beer reduces to 2/3.
STEP 5: Meanwhile place beef fillets into a dutch oven or casserole dish.
STEP 6: Pour the rest of the beer inside the skillet with onion. Add little bit of mustard. Stir it around and pour into the casserole on top of the beef fillets. Cover the dish and braise in the oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
STEP 7: Before serving remove from the oven and let it rest uncovered for 15 minutes.
I served this dish with rice and cucumber salad, but creamy mashed potatoes will bring these Beer Braised Beef Fillets to entire new level of comfort food, don't you think?

Since hubs is still out of town at the moment we had lots of leftovers for the next day and I think it tasted even better the second time around. The meat was so tender that no knife was needed.
